At St.Francis of Assisi Church, we have a community center next door to the
church.
The St.Francis' Community Centre has at its heart a message... the message
of love and welcome, of wanting
to make contact with others, so that all
know the love, which is God.
How we relate to each other, the welcome we extend to
each other, the
respect we give each other are a sign of
the love which God has for us.
St.Francis' Community Centre tries to mirror the welcome
of God, is
providing a welcoming place for all who enjoy
being in our centre.

There are many activities in our community center, some
sponsored by the
Parish of Edwardstown, and some by
outside bodies who hire our facilities
and add to the
diversity of the Community Centre.
Needles and Threads: Thursdays 10.00 a.m. (weekly)
A quilting and craft group where there is friendship,
company and the exchange of skills.
Pilates: Fridays 10.00 a.m. (weekly)
A Pilates gentle exercise class for all ages, with a qualified
instructor.
Chat’n Cuppa: Saturday 10.00 a.m. – 12 noon (weekly)
Drop by and have a coffee, a sausage, and a chat.
The Community Centre is alive with people on Saturday
mornings. There is a good fiction library to borrow from.
Computing: Saturday 10.00 a.m. (weekly)
If the computer age has passed you by, and you are too
nervous to go to a
class, this is the place for you to start. One to one tuition, teaching
the basics of computing at

Conversational English: Saturday 11.00 a.m. ( weekly)
An informal group with teaching and practice for those
wanting to improve their English.
